Kebbi: Commissioner of Information inspect projects at the College of   Education, Argungu and College of Nursing Science

The Commissioner of Information and Culture Alhaji Mamuda Muhammed Warra has today led a team of working Journalists on inspection visits to project sites in Argungu Local Government, the visit is aimed at showcasing government projects for visibility and publicity as part of his Ministry’s mandate of publicising government policies and programmes in the State.

The Commissioner who was accompanied by the Permanent Secretary Alhaji Garba Hamisu Zuru inspected the 500 capacity female and male hostel at the Adamu Augie College of Education Argungu and access road in Dankoji area of Argungu constructed by Governor Abubakar Bagudu led Administration.

Speaking to Journalist shortly after the inspection, Alhaji Mamuda Muhammed Warra said hostels constructed by Governor Atiku Bagudu has eradicated accommodation challenges faced by the students of the institution. He said the construction of the hostels has reduced the suffering of the students who trek long distance to attend lectures.

The Commissioner commended Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu for his effort to cater for the needs of the people in the state. He said the Governors partnership of different development partners and his desire to industrialized the state and create jobs for the women and youth in the state is a welcome development. 

Alh Mamuda Muhammed Warra called on the people in the state to support the present administration drive to projects as well as empowerment through it various interventions in the state. 

Other palaces visited in Argungu by the Commissioner and his team include Artist Camp, Cultural Arena, Media centre and Journalists lodge at the fishing village which are under the Ministry of Information and Culture.

A cross section of students interviewed expressed appreciation for the gesture, they commended Governor Bagudu for the construction of the hostel which they said has reduced accommodation challenges the face. they used the medium to appeal for the construction a mosque at the female hostel.  

Similarly, Alhaji Muhammed Sanusi of Dankoji area of Argungu, commended Governor Bagudu for construction of access road in Dankoji area. He said the project has shortened their route to other areas of the town. Mal. Hassan Abdullahi a commercial motor cycle driver said the gesture is well commendable and prayed Allah to give the Governor more wisdom to provide more dividends of democracy to people of the state.  

 In a related development, the Commissioner and his entourage were at the State College of Nursing Science Birnin Kebbi and were received by the Provost of the College Alh. Abubakar Abdullahi Kaoje who led the team on inspection visit to projects in the College.
 Palace visited include renovated students hostel, classes, sick bay, demonstration room and other projects provided by the present administration.

 Speaking to newsmen shortly after inspecting some of the facilities, the Provost Alhaji Abubakar Abudullahi Kaoje commended Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu’s effort in upgrading the school to a College and the support to meet up with Nursing Council and other bodies requirement. 

He said through the support of the State Government and Ministry of Higher Education, the College will soon commence more professional courses.
