State Chapter of  Sultan Abubakar College Sokoto Old Boys Association (SACOBA)  has organised a grand reception in honor of one of its members , the State Deputy Governor Senator Umar Abubakar Tafida . 

In his address at the occasion which took place at Nugget Continental Hotel, Birnin Kebbi, the state Governor Dr Nasir Idis represented by the state Head of Service, Alhaji Sufiyanu Garba Bena, underscored the significance of the event, saying the State Deputy Governor, Senator Umar Abubakar Tafida posses exceptional leadership qualities worthy for emulation by all.
 
The Governor also praised the efforts of the association for organizing the reception which he said would promote unity and development among its members. 

He acknowledged the role of the almamata in shaping the lives of its students and commended the association for its contributions to the progress of the State.

He then expressed his appreciation to the Deputy Governor's dedication to public service, stating that his leadership and commitment to the state's development have been unique .

In his remarks, the State Deputy Governor, Senator Umar Abubakar Tafida expressed his gratitude to the organizers of the event  for the honor done to him. 

He stated that the values instilled in him by the school have helped him in his personal and professional life, saying he is proud to be a member of the association. 

Other Speakers at the occasion included the Chairman of the occasion, Malami Abdulkadir, and former minister of sports, Dr. Saidu Samaila Sambawa who both described the Deputy Governor as a well-respected member of the association.


Other school classmates who spoke at the occasion included  Magajin Garin Gwandu, Alhaji Aminullah Umar, who also represented the Emir of Gwandu at the occasion, and Professor Suleman Khalid Jega both described the Senator Umar Abubakar Tafida as a well-known member of the association , whose qualities serve as role models to others.

Highlights of the occasion was  presentation of an award to the celebrant, the state Deputy Governor Senator Umar Abubakar Tafida by the members of the association. 

 The occasion was attended by dignitaries from all walks of life, including government officials, traditional rulers, and business leaders, who came to celebrate with the Deputy Governor on the honor done to him by the association.

KBSG  DISTRIBUTES  N200M LIVELIHOOD GRANTS TO 2,000 BENEFICIARIES Kebbi State Government has distributed the sum of N200 Million Grant to 2,000 Beneficiaries across the state under the KB - Cares livelihood Grant Program. KEBBI STATE GOVERNMENT CONDOLES WITH THE FAMILY OF LATE JOURNALIST. 02/07/2023 The Government of Kebbi State has condoled with the family of the late Journalist, Muazu Bello , who died yesterday. The Deputy Governor of Kebbi State, Senator Umar Abubakar Tafidan Kabi, who paid a visit to the family of Late Mu'azu Bello to console them, described the  for death of late Muazu Bello as a great loss not only to the family but to the entire Kebbi state. The Deputy Governor said that the  late Mu'azu Bello was a professional journalist who served Kebbi State and the country as a whole.  He prayed Allah to  forgive mistakes of  the deceased.
