Kebbi state government says its policy of inducting Fulani women on modern process of dairy production is in progress.
In addition, similar priority has been placed on modern livestock production.
Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu affirmed this when he made a stop-over along Gulumbe – Ambursa road where he interacted with Fulani women hawking milk.
Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu made it clear that the administration was committed to modernizing agricultural and livestock production in the state, through training of Fulani women, nomads and provision of modern farm implements.
He gave an assurance that animal feeds would be made available to livestock owners for optimum benefit.
The governor advised Fulanis to enroll their children into schools to acquire religious and western knowledge.
He provided financial support to the Fulani women to enhance their capital for economic empowerment.
Responding, the women expressed gratitude to the Governor for his benevolence and acknowledged his commitment to improving the socio-economic wellbeing of nomads.
